Dear compatriots!
I cordially congratulate you, all Muslims in the country, and our entire nation on the great holiday Eid al-Adha, embodying kindness, mercy, and generosity, which we are joyfully celebrating together with the entire Muslim Ummah, and express my deep respect and best wishes to you.
In these days, when our hearts are filled with the light of joy and kindness, we, above all, thank the Almighty for celebrating Eid al-Adha together with our people in peace and tranquility.
The noble ideas of peace, friendship, and love of mankind underlying this sacred holiday are harmonious and consonant with the reforms underway in the New Uzbekistan and with our high goals and objectives.
The role and significance of primordial values and holidays like Eid al-Adha have been mounting in our lives, which encourages an atmosphere of peace and prosperity, mutual respect, harmony, and tolerance in every makhalla, every town, and every kishlak in our entire society.
Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our dear compatriots, who make a worthy contribution with their selfless work to ensuring the free and prosperous lives of people and the honor and dignity of every person.
Dear friends!
As it is well known, enormous efforts have been made in Uzbekistan in recent years towards developing and enriching national and spiritual values and ensuring freedom of conscience and religion.
Thanks to all the opportunities created for our country's Muslims, 15,000 of our compatriots are making the holy pilgrimage to Makkah during Eid al-Adha. We congratulate them all on this great holiday and ask the Almighty to accept their prayers for the prosperity of our Homeland, the welfare of our people, and the happiness of our families in these blessed days.
We will undoubtedly continue to focus on fulfilling the hopes and aspirations of our multinational and multi-confessional people, preserving and developing the traditions and values of all the nations and peoples whose representatives call this beautiful country their native land.
I am confident that with joint efforts we will turn the New Uzbekistan into a country where friendship and tolerance reign and where every citizen, irrespective of ethnicity, language, or religion, will live free, in peace, and in prosperity.
I sincerely congratulate with this blessed holiday all Muslims from far and near abroad and wish progress and prosperity to their countries and nations.
Dear compatriots!
Following the good tradition established in our country in recent times, additional days off have been announced this year due to the Eid al-Adha holiday.
I am confident that Eid al-Adha will bring joy and good spirits to each home and every family.
It is yet another occasion for us to visit the holy places of worship, pay a visit to the elderly, our esteemed fathers and mothers, relatives, and loved ones, help those, who are in need, and travel around the country.
I once again congratulate you, dear compatriots, and all our people on the Eid al-Adha holiday and wish you to enjoy it with contentment among family, friends, and relatives.
May all our good dreams and hopes come true on this blessed holiday!
May peace and tranquility always reign in our country!
May the Almighty help us in all our good deeds!
Shavkat Mirziyoyev,
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan
