On June 5, the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani paid a state visit to our country at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Uzbek President met the Amir of Qatar at Samarkand airport.
State flags of the two countries were raised and the guard of honor lined up in honor of the high-ranking guest.
The heads of state ascended the pedestal. A solemn ceremony with national songs and dances was held.
Major events of the visit are scheduled for tomorrow. Today, the two leaders are going to visit the sights of the ancient Samarkand together.
