On June 5-6, the Аmir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will pay a state visit to our country at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the program of the distinguished guest’s stay, the main events will be held in the city of Samarkand.

During the forthcoming high-level talks, the issues of further development of Uzbek-Qatari multifaceted relations will be considered. The main issues are the continuation of active political contacts, cultural and humanitarian exchanges, implementation of major investment projects in the energy, gas and chemical industries, agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, tourism and other sectors.

The Leaders will also discuss current issues of international politics and the regional agenda.

A solid package of intergovernmental and interagency documents is expected to be signed at the end of the meeting.

It should be noted that the visit of the Emir of the State of Qatar to our country will be the first in more than 25 years of diplomatic relations between the two states.
