On May 26, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Seifi Ghasemi, the Chief Executive Officer of «Air Products».

The issues of further expanding practical cooperation with a high-profile American company – a global leader in its field, on promoting high-tech projects in strategic sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy were considered.

 The President congratulated the company head on the successful completion of the deal and the signing of an agreement on the acquisition of 3 industrial gas installations of the «GTL» plant in Kashkadarya region with the attraction of direct investments amounting $1 billion.

 The company’s participation in another large project – the construction of a gas chemical facility using MTO technology in Bukhara region with an investment no less than $700 million was noted.

A particular attention was paid to promising projects on green hydrogen development in our country, where Saudi company «ACWA Power» stands as another key partner.

The importance of training highly qualified specialists within the implementation of projects was separately noted.
