On May 17, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Chief Executive Officer of the French Development Agency Remy Riou , who is participating in the annual meeting of the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Samarkand.

The practical aspects of expanding multifaceted cooperation with the French Development Agency as a part of the new Program and the "road map" of interaction were considered.

Currently, Uzbekistan is the leading partner of the Agency. The portfolio of joint projects increased by a third last year and amounts to €1.3 billion.

Green economy projects are being implemented to modernize the public sector, including water supply networks, develop energy infrastructure, livestock and other areas.

A particular attention was paid to the promotion of business support programs, the introduction of effective public-private partnership mechanisms, the interaction with the Agency's structures - «PROPARCO» and «Expertise France».
