The volumes of mutual trade and investments have doubled in the past few years. Branches of Italy's leading universities - Turin Polytechnic and Pisa University - have been operating in our country.
Joint preparations for upcoming summit events are underway.
During the conversation, a particular emphasis has been placed on practical interaction in energy, including renewable energy, logistics, agriculture and other spheres.
The leader of our state stressed the importance of building partnership relations between defense ministries of Uzbekistan and Italy.
The sides also exchanged views on the issues of regional stability and security, including the peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan.
