President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with proposals on youth policy and development of sports.

In accordance with administrative reforms carried out in our country, the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports has been established. During today’s presentation, the measures for effectively organizing the public administration in these spheres and their development were determined.

According to a new system, 4 functions of the Ministry and 2 functions of the Youth Affairs Agency will be transferred to private sector. In order to effectively use state budget, a single electronic management system «ERP Sport» covering 24 directions in the sphere will be launched.

According to the new system, the festivals, forums, competitions and other cultural and educational activities among youth will be taking place based on single annual calendar plan, and information about them will be posted on a single electronic platform yoshlarportali.uz. The number of socio-economic services provided through «youth notebook» will be increased 1,5 times in 2023-2024.

The activities of the 3 state unitary enterprises at the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports will be optimized and their functions will be transferred to private sector.

In order to ensure the most efficient use of the state budget resources, it is planned to launch a single electronic management system «ERP Sport», which will cover 24 directions of the sphere.

A particular attention was also paid to digitalization of the sphere and development of tourism. In particular, starting next year, the procedures of identity verification and qualification of athletes participating in competitions with identification cards will be introduced.

In order to additionally incentivize the sphere’s representatives, the stipends of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports will be introduced. Additionally, the activities on juridical and medical support for athletes are envisaged.

Football is the most popular sport in our country. Therefore, the issue of its development was particularly addressed at the meeting. On the basis of a special FIFA program, it was proposed to introduce the «Grassroots Football» League in kindergartens and makhallas, the «Football in Schools» in schools and the «Students League» in higher educational institutions.

In order to ensure consistency and continuity in selecting and preparing talented players, 14 football schools at the Uzbekistan Football Association will be established. On the basis of the stadium «Dustlik», the Center of National Teams for all age categories will be organized. The activities of the Football Specialists Training Center will be improved, the specialists from Croatia, Japan and other countries will be attracted.

For the development of the sphere’s infrastructure, the Uzbekistan Football Support Fund will be established. The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokims of regions and khokim of Tashkent city will be appointed as Heads of the Regional Football Associations.

The President supported these proposals and gave instructions for their effective implementation.
