President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited a field of the seed cluster «Khorazm Fakhri» in Yangibazar district.

The total land area of this cluster is 286 hectares, 147 of which are sown with cereals, and 122 hectares are sown with cotton. The number of permanent employees is 45 people.

The President examined the development of crops, inquired about the varieties of wheat and cotton grown, and the yield of fruit trees.

It is well known that Khorezm is a dry region. Therefore, the measures to use water-saving technologies in agriculture are being taken. A part of the wheat field is irrigated by sprinkling. And the crops such as carrots, onions and turnips have been planted among the rows of the new apple orchard.

The President stressed that it is necessary to disseminate such experience of effective land management.

In our country, the areas freed from grain are provided to the unemployed for growing secondary crops. In the seed cluster «Khorazm Fakhri», 80 local residents were allocated 30 hectares of such allotments for growing vegetables. It is planned to allocate land to another 26 unemployed this year.

The President also conversed here with agricultural workers and representatives of farms and dekhkan farms. The importance of growing crops appropriate to Khorezm's soil conditions and industrialization of agriculture was noted.
