On March 21, a festive event, dedicated to Navruz, took place in the New Uzbekistan Park.
There is a festive atmosphere in the park. The Navruz traditions and exhibitions of national cultural centers were organized.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the festive event. The President cordially congratulated the people of our country.
«Today, everywhere in our country, in oases and valleys, cities and towns, parks and squares, the folk festivals – «sayils» are taking place with a great joy. At these exciting moments, as our hearts fill with joy, I warmly congratulate all our compatriots, youth and elders, and express my deepest respect and best wishes to all of you», Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.
Navruz is the beginning of a new year in the Eastern calendar, a holiday of reawakening and renewal of nature. The philosophy and values of this holiday are interconnected with the idea of a New Uzbekistan, under which our country carries out a large-scale work to elevate the honor and dignity, to ensure the rights and interests of every person, to create decent conditions for residents of all cities and regions. The economy and social sector are comprehensively developing, a considerable attention is being paid to science, education, health care, culture and sports.
«We draw energy and strength from our honorable fathers and mothers, esteemed veterans, their experience, wisdom, and blessings in making the lives of the people of Uzbekistan dignified in every respect. The selfless work of our people, their support for the course of reforms is our foundation in bringing the national development to a new, higher level», the President has underscored.
The President expressed his gratitude to each of our compatriots for their worthy work for the welfare of the country. He expressed confidence that the citizens will demonstrate high political wisdom at next month’s important political event.
The successes of dekhkans and farmers, sportsmen and youth of the country were also noted.
It was underscored that the good deeds built on the noble traditions of our people should be performed not only on Navruz, but always, every day.

We must ensure that every person in our country, which for centuries has been famed for its spiritual values and humanism, feels the full attention and care of the people and the state», Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.
The President congratulated Muslims of our country and the entire Islamic ummah of the world on the approaching month of Ramadan.
The President extended his sincere greetings to the ambassadors of foreign states and representatives of international organizations, and expressed his best wishes to their countries and nations.
The celebration continued with a grand festive concert. The performances of folk and ethnographic ensembles and artists, national games and askiyas had created a great atmosphere for everyone.
The representatives of government and public organizations, members of parliament and government, guests from different regions of the country, and the representatives of diplomatic corps operating in our country attended the event.
Following the festivities, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev viewed the exhibitions of national cultural centers and folk crafts. He conversed with visitors of the park and congratulated them on the holiday.
