President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of Termez National Carpets Limited Liability Company in Yangiobod makhalla of Termez district.

The enterprise is capable of producing 2.2 million square meters of carpets a year. For this purpose modern equipment from Germany, Belgium and Turkey was installed. 150 new jobs were created.

About half of its production is planned to be exported. 80% of raw materials are localized. During short time of work of the enterprise 255 thousand carpets and rugs were exported to Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. This year it is planned to deliver production for $4 million to foreign customers.

At the enterprise special attention is paid to use of alternative energy. Solar panels installed here power external and internal lighting systems.

The President got acquainted with the production process at the enterprise. He toured the exhibition of industrial goods produced in the region.

The ceremony of launching six new production facilities took place. Representatives of «Indenim cluster» in Termez city, «Fabullo building service» in Jarkurgan district, «Angor Baraka» in Angor district, «Termiz agro impeks» in Termez district, small industrial zone of building materials in Sariasiya district and Tupalang hydropower plant presented information on their capacities via video link.

Indenim Cluster Limited Liability Company in Termez specializes in the production of finished garments made of cotton fiber. 400 new jobs are created here.

The enterprise «Fabullo Construction Service» in Jarkurgan district mastered the production of autoclaved gas blocks with a capacity of 75 thousand cubic meters per year, 80 new jobs were created.

A center of craftsmanship was created in the trading complex of «Angora Baraka» Limited Liability Company of Angora district. About 125 thousand units of ready-made garments, 50 types of national costumes and handicrafts will be produced here annually, about 1000 women will be employed.

In a small industrial zone of Sariasiya district the production of modern building materials is organized.

Termiz agro impeks Limited Liability Company built a freezing warehouse for 3,000 tons and a modern greenhouse in Termez district, providing jobs for 220 people.

As part of the Tupalang hydropower plant modernization project, its total capacity was increased to 175 MW. This will produce 467 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.

In total these 6 enterprises will create 2 thousand new jobs, their activities will add 370 billion soums to regional production and 20 million dollars to exports.

The President pressed a symbolic button and launched the new enterprises.
