President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the Kashkadarya Region.
The social policy of our country is aimed at implementing reforms in every makhalla and addressing the needs of the population. Infrastructure in Yangi Batosh makhalla of Karshi District is also steadily developing. The makhalla was established in 2021 and there was no school in it. Over 500 boys and girls attended, the school located 10 kilometers away from the makhalla.
The construction of a new school was recently completed here. During his visit to the makhalla, the President got acquainted with the school.
The facility has a capacity of 660 pupils. There are more than thirty classes, a library, a meeting room, a canteen, a STEM laboratory, a computer room and vocational guidance rooms. Open-air and indoor sports grounds, traffic safety lanes are organized.
The focus of the school system in our country is to teach young people at least two foreign languages and one modern profession. Conditions have been created for that in a new school. In specially equipped classrooms, the students study sewing, jewelry making, cooking, hairdressing, electrical engineering, computer and cell phone maintenance, and robotics.
The President talked to the students.
“We create such conditions for students to master foreign languages and professions upon graduation. The 11th grade will be “a start in life” class. If every student achieves this goal and finds his or her place in society, the foundation of Uzbekistan will be strong,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President spoke to the teachers of Kashkadarya.
“With each reform the teachers’ image always stands in my mind’s eye. It is no secret that before, children were taken out to pick cotton for three months. In Kashkadarya alone, there was a shortage of 155 thousand student places. Therefore, 1 trillion Uzbek soums was allocated to the region. 215 schools were built. Today, Kashkadarya is in first place in the country by the number of schools. Teachers’ wages have also been increased. Indeed, we will continue this work. However, quality is in the first place. This depends first on the teachers’ knowledge, outlook and dedication”, said the President.
At the meeting, teachers talked about their activities, expressed their opinions and suggestions.
