President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got familiarized with operation of thermal power plant commissioned by LLC «Aksa Enerji Bukhara» in Bukhara district.
As the economy develops and the number of enterprises grows, the demand for energy resources increases. Therefore, measures are taken to increase power-generating capacities in all regions.
In particular, in the past «Aksa Enerji Bukhara» put into operation a thermal power plant. The station was built at the expense of direct investment of $150 million. Equipment and hardware was brought from Turkiye. One hundred and fifty people work here.
The capacity of the plant is 270 MW. It will produce 2.200 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, which will cover 60% of the region's consumption.
The President visited the plant's control room and conversed with the managers.
Considering that the annual power consumption in Bukhara in 2023 is expected to be 4.3 billion kilowatt-hours and a possible deficit of 150 million kilowatt-hours, the responsible persons were instructed to take measures to eliminate the deficit.
The President gave instructions on stable supply of electricity to the population and sectors of the economy, increasing the efficiency of energy use and reducing grid losses, and bringing high technology into the industry.
