President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China Jiang Yan on February 6, who is completing her diplomatic mission.

The President noted with delight the productive work and energetic efforts undertaken by the ambassador in consolidating the Uzbek-Chinese relations of friendship and all-round strategic partnership.

Last September, President of China Xi Jinping made a successful state visit to Uzbekistan.

Over the past few years, trade turnover has doubled, and the number of joint projects and enterprises has tripled. Major investment and infrastructure projects are underway. Practical cooperation has been launched to promote the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad.

Cultural and humanitarian exchanges are expanding, and important programs in education, healthcare, archeology, tourism and other fields are being implemented.

Ambassador Jiang Yan was awarded the high state award of our country – «Do’stlik» (Friendship) order by the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for her personal contribution to achieving the current level of bilateral cooperation.
