President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the «Barkamol Avlod» small industrial and business zone in Namangan.
The technoparks and small industrial zones are being established in our country to support entrepreneurship. In Namangan Region, the number of such complexes has reached 73.
There are many entrepreneurs and craftsmen in Barkamol Avlod makhalla (“local neighborhood community areas”). However, they faced unfavorable working conditions, which limited the fulfilment of their potential.
Therefore, an industrial complex with necessary infrastructure has been established on an area of 10 hectares near the makhalla. A total of 46 projects are being implemented here. 18 enterprises have been launched; more than 2,000 jobs have been created.
The President got acquainted with the technological process at the enterprises «Master Klass Dizayn», «Sifat Yogoch Sanoat», «Balans Teks».
The first enterprise produces 150 thousand pieces of leather footwear per year. The «Sifat Yogoch Sanoat» has the capacity to produce 1,2 thousand furniture sets and «Balans Teks» manufactures 400 thousand textile products. Young people and women from neighboring makhallas, who used to be unemployed, now work here and earn a living. Thanks to their quality and affordability, the products replace their imported analogues.
«We have enterprising, energetic people. Thus, we have created conditions, and everything went uphill. Next, we need to help the manufacturers to reduce the production cost. The prime cost is a matter of an entrepreneur's survival. If it is reduced, then exporting will be easier, business will expand, and an entrepreneur could hire more staff», Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.
In other projects of the industrial zone, equipment is being installed. In general, the production of ready-made clothes, leather goods, construction materials, furniture, paper, food and chemical products is to be launched here. A total of over 6,000 people in Barkamol Avlod, Yakkatut, Yangikhayot, Objuvoz, Lola and Chaman makhallas will be provided with jobs.
Here, the President became familiar with an exhibition of industrial goods produced in Namangan. A number of instructions were given to develop the bee keeping, jewelry making, fruit and vegetable growing along with progressive industries.
