President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the family-type children’s home in Naiman makhalla (“local neighborhood community area”) of Uchtepa District.
Special significance is attached in our country to the orphans and children without parental care. Thanks to the state-provided benefits, the number of families adopting such children has been growing. In particular, 131 family-type children’s homes have been established for 808 boys and girls.
The family-type children’s home in Uchtepa district has also become a logical continuation of the ongoing work in this direction. A two-storey building has been reconstructed by the National Guard and the necessary conditions have been created for a comfortable stay of 12 families. All apartments are equipped with appliances and furniture.
The President visited the home of Inomjon and Dildora Davlatovs. They are raising four orphans.
The children told they dreamed of having a big family and this dream has come true thanks to the care of the state.
The foster children and their own children study together at comprehensive school № 238.
The residential area includes two sports halls, a mini-football stadium, children's and workout playgrounds, a summer stage, and an alley. Decorative and fruit trees have been planted. Families grow food for daily needs on a small backyard.
The President visited study circles and sports clubs, conversed with the youth.
A meeting on urban development in Tashkent in the context of makhallas (“local neighborhood community areas”) was also held here.
Over the past 11 months, 650 projects have been implemented in the capital city, thousands of jobs were created. In particular, the number of new business entities has increased by 1 thousand 110 in Uchtepa District.
It was noted that Tashkent has great opportunities for the development of trade, industry and services. The task was set to fully exploit this potential and turn the capital into an unemployment-free region.
The President paid a particular attention to the solution of social problems.
There are 584 makhallas in the capital. An extensive work on their improvement and road construction is carried out.
The President conversed with the heads of districts about upcoming plans and requests from the population.
Based on such demands, it was determined to repair 44 social facilities and to build a kindergarten, a polyclinic, a park of culture and leisure.
All 12 heating plants in Tashkent were built during the period of 1968-1986, and their equipment is obsolete. Therefore, modern heat and power generation centers will be created on the basis of 9 of these plants. As a result, the capital will produce over 3 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity annually.
The instructions have been given to saturate markets with food products and to ensure public safety on New Year's Eve.
