At the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to this country on October 20-21.

As part of the program of the stay, it is planned to hold the high-level talks to discuss the current issues on the bilateral and regional agenda.

The sides will focus on deepening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan at a new stage, increasing the volume of mutual trade, enhancing cooperation in industry, energy and chemical industries, agriculture, transport and logistics, and continuing an active cultural-humanitarian exchange.

Following the summit, it is set to adopt a solid package of bilateral agreements on the priority areas of interaction.

During the visit, it is planned to open a Tashkent Park in Ashgabat and launch a project for the construction of a Border Trade Center.
