On October 12, at the invitation of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived on a working visit to the city of Astana.

The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan A.Smailov and other responsible officials met the President of Uzbekistan at the airport.

On October 13-14, the meetings of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia and the Council of Heads of State of the CIS will be held in Astana. The President is expected to attend this meeting and make a speech during it.

The summits' agenda includes such issues as increasing mutual trade and promoting industrial cooperation projects, establishing effective transport communications, ensuring food security and counteracting climate change.

The program of the presidential visit also includes a number of bilateral meetings and multilateral negotiations with the heads of delegations of partner countries.
