On September 15, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Samarkand.
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov met the President of Turkey at the airport.
The distinguished guest visited the mausoleum of Islam Karimov in the «Hazrati Khizr» memorial complex in Samarkand, where the President honored the memory of the First President of our country and a wreath laying ceremony at the tomb of the First President of our country Islam Karimov.
The visit program of the Turkish President includes the participation in the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as a guest of honor, as well as holding a number of bilateral meetings.
