President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is on a working trip to the Samarkand Region.

On August 24, the President visited the Imam Bukhari mausoleum. The surahs (the prayers) from the Quran were recited.

The complex is currently being reconstructed so that it befits the high authority of the great gatherer of Hadith in the Muslim world. A mausoleum, a huge mosque, minarets and terraces are being erected.

The President has been acquainted with this creative work.

«We discussed this project extensively, visiting time and again. Now it is necessary to build without haste. All conditions must be created here, both in terms of pilgrimage and religious ceremonies», Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.

The President suggested creating the Imam Bukhari Museum nearby.

«Recently, when we visited Medina, we visited the Museum of the life of the Prophet and Islamic civilization. It would be good if such a museum appeared here as well. It would show the life of our ancestor Imam Bukhari, his work, and the history of that time through information technology. Young people and foreign tourists would be able to get a broader picture of it. Moreover, the museum would become another spiritual treasure of our people»,  the President has said.

The Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications and the Ministry of Construction were instructed to prepare a corresponding project.

Then Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Hazrati Khizr complex and honored the memory of the first President Islam Karimov.
