On July 21, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon as a part of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in the town of Cholpon-Ata.
The issues of further strengthening the good-neighborly relations, strategic partnership and alliance in terms of implementing agreements at the highest level were discussed.
A special attention has been paid to the promotion of joint cooperation projects and practical interactions in the trade, industry, agriculture, energy, transport and logistics.
Uzbekistan and Tajikistan leaders also exchanged views on the current regional agenda.
