Dear graduates!

I sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, congratulate you on the successful graduation from the school and entering a remarkable and even more responsible stage - an independent life.

In these exciting moments, when the “Last Bell” sounds at all general educational institutions of the country and you are leaving your school, your favorite teachers, I wish all of you a great success on your future path.

My warmest congratulations on receiving a secondary school certificate - a symbol of hope and confidence in the future.

 

My dear children!

This year, more than 390,000 young people are graduating from the secondary schools of Uzbekistan. The purposeful young men and women like you are ready to direct all their knowledge and abilities towards the noble goal of becoming worthy sons and daughters of their Motherland and people, are certainly our hope and support, a golden fund, a truly priceless wealth of New Uzbekistan.

Obviously, this day shall be unforgettable not only for school graduates of the country, but also for their parents, teachers and mentors. We congratulate them on this wonderful holiday and convey our best wishes.

In recent years, the fundamental reforms have been introduced in the system of preschool, secondary specialized and higher education. Especially the development of school education has become a popular movement. The fundamental changes have taken place in this area. At present, along with more than 10 thousand state general education schools, there are many non-state educational institutions, the schools based on public-private partnerships, Presidential, specialized and creative schools, which shows the profound structural and qualitative changes carried out in the system in a short time.

As a fact, last year 789 schools were repaired and renovated with a total expenditure amounting to 3.3 trillion Uzbek soums. It is exciting that the number of medals won by our students at the International Subject Olympiads has increased 3 times, at the regional Olympiads – almost 2 times, as part of the project “One Million Coders” over 900 thousand students have mastered the basics of programming, upon completion having received appropriate certificates.

A high priority is given to stimulating decent work, improving working and living conditions, raising the status of our dedicated teachers and mentors who have devoted their lives to educating a younger generation.

The educational curricula and textbooks are being updated based on the experience of developed countries. A particularly important step in this direction was the creation of educational and methodological kits, teachers’ manuals and exercise-books for general education schools in a total of 326 items.

All schools in the country are connected to a high-speed fiber optic Internet, installed local networks and Wi-Fi devices.

In the current turbulent and complex time, we pay a special attention to the education of children by highly spiritual personalities, true patriots. The large-scale spiritual and educational events are being organized, and consistent efforts are being carried out to increase the interest of a younger generation in reading books and involve them even more actively in literature and art circles, and sports sections.

 

Dear graduates!

For over a last time, for our people, especially for young people like you, Uzbekistan has become a country of truly great opportunities.

162 higher educational institutions operating in the country, numerous vocational schools, colleges and technical schools contribute to your development of highly professional specialists in the spheres of your choice.

There is also a system of on-the-job and distance learning at 78 higher education institutions.

A coverage of graduates of higher education this year has reached 38% - from 9% in 2016.

The special opportunities are being created in the system of vocational education for orphans or children deprived of parental care, families in need of social protection and disabled children.

It should be noted that in the 2020-2021 academic year 1,157 students and in the year 2021-2022, 1,433 students enrolled in colleges and technical schools on a contractual basis were admitted on the basis of an additional State grant, in top of the admission criteria.

I am convinced that thanks to such opportunities, tomorrow you shall work in modern clusters, farms, at manufacturing enterprises, large new premises, firms and companies, state and non-state organizations, the cultural and creative communities of the country, and, undoubtedly, shall make a worthy contribution to the prosperity of our Homeland, improving the well-being of the people.

In short, every graduate in our country will be surrounded by attention and care. The local authorities in regions, districts and cities, sector leaders, the community of makhallas, together with your parents and teachers, shall be your closest aides and support.

On this joyous day, I once again sincerely congratulate you, my dears, on the successful graduation from the school, the first important stage in your life path.

Never forget that even higher and more responsible milestones lie ahead of you. If you set specific goals and in order to achieve them put all your strength and energy, knowledge and potential, then, surely, you shall conquer any tops.

I wish all of you a sound health, great success in your work, study and personal life.
