On April 21 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Kashkadarya Region.

The first destination in the trip program was the Kukdala District. The initiative to establish this territorial-administrative unit was enlisted in the election program of Shavkat Mirziyoyev. In accordance with the decision of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of March 17 this year, in order to create amenities for the population and streamline the process of urbanization, Kukdala District was established in one part of the Chirakchi District.

On the eve of the President’s visit, a sewing enterprise Chirokchi Cluster LLC was launched in the new district. Its building is constructed from lightweight structures. About 500 local women and young people are employed.

The President got acquainted with the working process at the enterprise, talked with women.

“As you can see, we make a lot of decisions to support women, organizational measures. The main goal is to keep you satisfied. If you provide a woman with work, her mood will affect the whole family, she will bring up her children well. Today we have brought with us many plans and opportunities. We strive for the time to come when dreams come true in Uzbekistan,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.

The enterprise is capable of producing 7 million ready-made garments per year. Most of the products are exported under the "Samo" brand. To this end, it is planned to establish cooperation with well-known foreign brands.

The head of the cluster was given recommendations on increasing the yield of cotton and developing new plots of lands.

The town of Yettitom is defined as the administrative center of the Kukdala District. Now it is necessary to develop the infrastructure here. The President got acquainted with the project of the detailed planning of the town.

The territory of the district is 171 thousand hectares of land and consists of 32 makhallas (the local residential community). According to the project, buildings for the district khokimiyat (governor’s office) and local agencies, the New Uzbekistan Residential Area, kindergartens and schools, a clinic, a park, roadside service facilities and shopping malls will be built in the town of Yettitom. 159 kilometers of roads will be repaired, 50 kilometers of potable water supply networks and 80 kilometers of electricity networks will be built.

The President has stressed the need to build new houses in an energy efficient way, install solar panels on the roofs of houses. The task was set to study the possibility of building a solar power plant with a capacity of 500-1000 megawatts and an enterprise for the production of solar panels in Kukdala.

There was a meeting with local residents. It was noted that earlier it took 2-3 hours to get to the center of the Chirakchi District, which caused many difficulties and costs.

“The main goal of creating the Kukdala District is to create decent living conditions for 182 thousand people living here, to raise our work on economic development and employment to a new level,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev has said.

To this end, a three-year program for the integrated socio-economic development of the region shall be developed. About 2 trillion Uzbek soums shall be allocated for the construction of engineering and communication networks and social facilities. This year, 18 projects for 260 billion Uzbek soums shall be launched.
