On April 5, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Acting Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan.

The Leaders exchanged warm congratulations on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, sincerely wishing peace, well-being and further progress to the friendly peoples of the two countries.

The progress in the implementation of the joint Road Map adopted on the outcomes of the top-level state visit to Pakistan on March 3-4 this year was considered. The importance of the timely implementation of projects and programs of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the trade, industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism, culture and other priority areas, was emphasized.

There was also an exchange of views on the regional cooperation.

At the end of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan wished the head of the Government and the people of Pakistan successful holding of the upcoming important political event – the Parliamentary Elections in the country.
