On March 16 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the operations of the Data Processing Center of the State Tax Committee.
A consistent digitalization is being carried out in the system of tax authorities to create conveniences for the population and businesses and minimize the human factor. According to the Presidential decree of October 30, 2020, the Center was completely modernized. Owing to the 100 billion Uzbek soums allotted from the state budget, the buildings were repaired and equipped with uninterruptible power supplies, precision air conditioners, high-capacity servers and computers.
As a result, the capacity of the Center has increased eight times, as well as the coverage of electronic services has expanded. The complex processes, such as the calculation of balance lines on personal cards, has accelerated 10 times. For example, if earlier the calculation of national indicators took 24 hours, now this process takes 2-3 hours. Increasing the speed of data processing is becoming an important factor in reducing the shadow economy.
The technologies of protection against cyberattacks and business analytics are introduced. The new software products have been developed such as «e-ijara», «e-imtiyoz», «value-added taxpayers», «tax audits», «automated camera control system» and «tax gap coefficient».
The Center can be called a «brain» of the domestic tax system. It integrates the data of all taxpayers. Approximately 50 qualified specialists provide a real-time tracking of the tax turnover and promptly provide remote services.
The President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the activity of the Center and gave instructions to improve the efficiency of the tax authorities.
