President Leaves for Pakistan

On March 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan, departed for this country on a state visit.

On the outcomes of the top-level talks held in Tashkent in July 2021, Uzbek-Pakistani relations have reached the level of strategic partnership. During the upcoming visit, the issues of further development of the multifaceted cooperation, the development of practical interaction, primarily in the field of trade, investment, industrial cooperation, transportation, logistics, infrastructure and tourism, as well as expansion of the cultural and humanitarian exchange program will be discussed. There will also be an exchange of views on the international and regional agenda.

It is expected to adopt a joint declaration and a number of bilateral documents.
