On March 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The topical issues of further development of the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of friendship, strategic partnership and alliance and expansion of the mutually beneficial practical cooperation were discussed.

A special attention is paid to the implementation of cooperation projects of the leading enterprises of the two countries, primarily in the sphere of trade, energy, mechanical engineering, chemical industry, construction industry, transportation and logistics.

In this regard, the regular and fruitful contacts at the level of governments aimed at promoting joint economic projects, as well as cultural and humanitarian programs in accordance with the agreements at the highest level were positively assessed.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have also exchanged views on the international agenda and important aspects of regional interaction.

The telephone conversation took place in a traditionally friendly and trustworthy atmosphere.
