On January 19 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Deputy Head of the Office of the President the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak.
At the onset of the meeting, Dmitry Kozak conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
It was emphasized that the agreements reached at recent meetings and contacts at the top-level have given a strong impetus to the strengthening of the Uzbek-Russian strategic partnership and the expansion of multifaceted relations. The volume of trade turnover is growing. The major industrial cooperation projects and priority humanitarian programs are being implemented.
The President has highlighted the significance of further development and unveiling the potential of the full-scale cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
The views on the situation in Central Asia in the light of events in the region were also exchanged.
