By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in connection with the Day of Defenders of Homeland and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a group of military servicemen and law enforcement officers was awarded military titles, orders and medals.
On January 14, the Presidential Administration held a ceremony to present these high awards.
The President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces congratulated all military servicemen and veterans on this glorious date.
“Over the thirty years of independent development, we have established our own Armed Forces, trained selfless soldiers, officers and generals, equipped with the necessary weapons, as a result, today we have a strong army. All this serves as the basis for lasting peace, stability and tranquility in our Motherland”,- said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In recent years, the extensive work has been done to improve the operational capacity of the defense system. The military command and control system has almost been completely reconstructed. The military-administrative sectors were established. The efficient mechanisms have been established to ensure the interaction of the combat arms. The units capable of promptly performing the arduous tasks have been established. The level of combat and psychological training of troops has increased.
The Academy of the Armed Forces, the newly created Military Medical Academy, as well as the military academic lyceums “Temurbeklar Maktabi” and other specialized educational institutions are becoming a solid basis for training professional personnel for the sphere. There is a growing interest and aspiration for military service among young people.
On the eve of the Day of Defenders of Homeland, a meeting of the Security Council is held annually to discuss the work done in the field and important tasks for the future.
“At yesterday’s meeting, we have outlined big plans to further strengthening our might, develop all aspects of military science and train personnel. Having deeply analyzed the disturbing events taking place in the world and our region, we will take additional measures to ensure the tranquility of our people and the inviolability of our borders. We believe only in our own strength”,- said the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
It was emphasized that the defenders of the Motherland, with their knowledge and qualities, should set an example for the youth.
“The key task that I have set for the military districts, military administrative sectors is to ensure the unity of the army with the people, to promote the dignity and honor of the human being. I am sure that you will be in the forefront of this work and serve as a model for young people with your every action”,- said the President.
The principle “In the name of honor and dignity of the human being” is also embodied in the military sphere. The decent conditions for service and life are being created for the military servicemen. In particular, over the past five years, about 10,000 servicemen have been provided with housing on soft loans. The issues of employment and medical care of the retired military have also been addressed.
Today’s celebrations on the ground and the awards ceremony for patriots are another example of the implementation of this principle.
At the ceremony, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has solemnly presented certificates of conferment of honorary titles, orders and medals. He wished the Motherland defenders a sound health and great success in the effective fulfillment of their noble duty.
“Unfortunately, it is impossible to gather all the award-winning people in this hall. I extend my sincere congratulations all those people, who have been awarded and have been unable to be here today – with the honors, orders and medals of our state. The award is a symbol of attention and trust of our people. It will give you even more strength and energy. It will motivate you to achieve the new victories. The people, who have brave defenders, are proud and confident about tomorrow”, - said the President.
Speakers at the ceremony have thanked the President for the high awards and permanent attention.
