President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the family polyclinic №7 of the Mirzo Ulugbek District.

The last major maintenance in this institution was carried out in 1991, the current repairs in 2018. The polyclinic is designed to provide care to 250 patients a day, and currently it serves 41 thousand residents of 8 makhallas (the local neighborhood community areas). There are departments of physiotherapy, functional diagnostics, a central clinical laboratory, endoscopy, X-ray and ultrasound rooms.

Today, the staff conducted a survey of 93% of the residents assigned to the polyclinic, and measures to improve the health of 5,518 citizens were determined.

The President instructed to overhaul the clinic in accordance with modern requirements, to create all the facilities for the population. The need to update obsolete equipment for diagnostics was indicated.

«A new experience that combines outpatient and inpatient care needs to be introduced. It is necessary to create healthy competition between family polyclinics and other medical organizations, moving to a system of high-quality and affordable public services», noted the President.
