On December 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid flowers at the Otan Qorgaushylar Monument in the city of Nur-Sultan.

The memorial was erected in memory of the Kazakhstan soldiers, who fought in the World War II. Its height is 37 meters. The image of the Motherland is depicted in the center of the monument.

The leaders of foreign states lay flowers at the monument as a sign of deep respect for the people of Kazakhstan.
