On December 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

The President has warmly congratulated the President of Kyrgyzstan on his birthday and sincerely wished him a sound health, well-being and great success, and the brotherly people of the Kyrgyz Republic a peace and prosperity.

The leaders were pleased to note the gradual strengthening of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz strategic partnership based on the strong bonds of centuries-long friendship and good-neighborliness.

The significance of continuing constructive dialogue and intensive exchanges at various levels, increasing the volume of trade turnover and jointly promoting important cooperation projects in engineering, energy and electrical engineering, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and other areas was emphasized. A particular attention was paid to extending a practical cooperation at the level of regions and businesses, implementation of cultural and humanitarian programs.

An exchange of views on the international and regional agenda also took place.

The telephone conversation took place in a traditionally warm, sincere and friendly atmosphere.
