President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the inauguration ceremony of assuming the post of the Head of State, has announced the construction of the “New Uzbekistan” residential areas with all amenities and the necessary social infrastructure for more than 1 million people.

A videoconference meeting on November 2 has reviewed the practical aspects of the program. Since then, the venues with an infrastructure close to cities and regional centers have been chosen for the construction of residential areas.

Today, on November 30, the presentation of these projects to the President took place.

According to plans, next year it is expected to build 22 new residential areas. To facilitate the activities of construction organizations, only plots under multi-storey buildings will be sold at an auction. The adjacent territories will be transferred to the owners of houses for common use after construction is completed. The land plots for entrepreneurship will be allocated through an online auction.

The President gave instructions on the construction of a sufficient number of schools, kindergartens and medical institutions in the new areas. The possibility of creating at least 50 thousand jobs through establishing small industrial zones and the implementation of business projects was indicated.
