On November 26, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Uzbekistan has warmly congratulated Elbasy on the upcoming Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, sincerely wishing him a sound health, prosperity and new successes, as well as further progress and prosperity to the brotherly people of Kazakhstan.

The historical role and enormous personal contribution of Nursultan Nazarbayev to the formation and development of modern Kazakhstan, raising the country’s authority on the international arena are emphasized.

The current high level of bilateral relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership was noted with satisfaction.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of mutual trade has grown by 40%, and the scale of industrial cooperation between leading companies and enterprises of the two countries is expanding. Today, the city of Turkestan hosts the events of the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission and the Forum of Regions with the participation of the heads of governments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

In addition, the active implementation of important cultural and humanitarian exchange programs continues.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views took place on the topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation, as well as a schedule of upcoming top-level meetings was considered.
