The President visited the central multidisciplinary polyclinic in the Shaykhantakhur Region.

The medical institution was built in 1994, reconstructed in 2017. There are divisions of therapy, neurology, cardiology, rheumatology, allergology, pediatrics and surgery.

The central polyclinic and 9 family polyclinics serve 346,000 people living at 51 makhallas (the local neighborhood community area) of the district.

The President instructed to create a medical cluster on the basis of these polyclinics.

«Private medicine will develop, this is the requirement of time. A certain part of the population turns to private clinics. However, the state must provide quality healthcare to the entire population. Therefore, it is necessary to turn this place into a cluster, establish targeted treatment,  increase efficiency and coverage. The people should feel that everything is fair in medicine», - the President said.

The responsible officials were given appropriate instructions.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also visited the Olim Khujaev makhalla at the Shaykhantakhur District. It is envisioned to carry out the renovation of two-story houses built in the 60s of the last century.

The renovation project was presented to the President. Here the President talked to the elderly and residents of the makhalla.
