On October 25 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, who heads the Russian delegation of observers of presidential elections in our country.

The parliamentarian has warmly congratulated the Leader of Uzbekistan on a confident victory in the presidential elections and the successful conduct of the election campaign.

The work accomplished to prepare and organize the election  procedures in accordance with international best practices and standards is highly appreciated.

The sides exchanged views on topical issues of further development of the Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance, expansion of multifaceted cooperation.

The sides have expressed satisfaction with the close and productive inter-parliamentary dialogue.

The profound opportunities were noted for deepening the bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade, investment, education, tourism and culture, as well as a part of the regional organizations in the CIS.
