On October 25, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a telephone conversation.

The President of Turkmenistan has cordially congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the landslide victory in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed sincere wishes for the continuation of effective reforms and transformations aimed at modernizing the country and increasing its international standing.

The issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached following the top-level official events on October 4-5 this year in the city of Tashkent were discussed.

A schedule of forthcoming contacts, including in the framework of regional organizations, was considered.
