The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The President of Turkey has sincerely congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his victory in the presidential elections and emphasized that the voting results have once again illustrated the strong support of the country’s population for the course of reforms in New Uzbekistan.  

In turn, our President has warmly congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan and all the people of Turkey on the forthcoming main national holiday - Republic Day and wished peace and prosperity. 

The issues of preparation for the next top-level meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Council and the Turkic Council Summit were considered.

The importance of continuing the joint efforts to further enhance the volume of mutual trade, expand the portfolio of large investment projects and implement important educational programs was emphasized.
