On October 25, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation.

The President of Russia has warmly congratulated Shavkat Mirziyoyev on his convincing victory in the recent presidential elections, and sincerely wished a great success, well-being and prosperity to the friendly people of Uzbekistan.

The Presidents discussed the topical issues of further development of bilateral relations of strategic partnership and alliance. The schedule of top-level meetings was considered.

A particular attention was paid to expanding practical cooperation in trade, economic and investment areas, including the preparation of prospective project and cooperation programs during the forthcoming meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission.
