President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Innovative Training and Production Technopark in the Student town.

Technopark is an integration of three types of activities - education, science and production. Here, the students can become familiar with and test modern technologies and equipment, be involved in the process of designing and manufacturing finished products, which will contribute to the consolidation of the obtained theoretical knowledge and the generation of new ideas.

The three-storey building is equipped with advanced technologies in the fields of robotics, energy, electrical engineering and biotechnology. On the ground floor there are laboratories for welding, electrical discharge machining, wood and plastic processing, and rooms for startups. The floors above are composed of classrooms and co-working space, robotics and standardization rooms, gyms, administration, a library and offices.

The President has emphasized the importance of establishing a management company in the technopark and taking organizational measures for the realization of products.

“Five years ago, few young people have had an access to such centers and laboratories. And those who could, did not have enough funds for their projects. Since, there was no money for science. Now it is necessary to teach the young people to produce and sell products that are in demand on the market, using these conditions and equipment. If they start earning, they will have ambition, they will devote themselves to this sphere”, - Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The instructions have been given on the wide involvement of students of technical institutes in the technopark, conducting practical exercises here, and improvement of educational programs based on advanced technologies.

In the innovative technopark, the students are not charged for internships, while the tax incentives have been introduced for residents. There’s a greenhouse set up for biological experiments.

The President has been familiarized with the projects being implemented in the biotechnology laboratory.

The importance of promoting the import-substituting products manufactured by residents, supporting them and their projects has been underlined.
