President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of the International School of Mathematics in the Karakul District.

This institution was established in 2009 as a specialized general education school. Until recently, there were no modern conditions here. However, the unique teaching methodology developed here has turned an ordinary rural school into an educational institution known throughout the country. In the last three years, all school graduates entered universities, and students regularly become winners and prize-winners of international competitions. The young people come here from all regions to receive an education at school.

By the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of August 9, 2019, this educational institution was transformed into the International School of Mathematics. The building of the former vocational college was renovated and transferred to the school. All conditions have been created here: 64 classrooms, gyms, a library are modernly equipped, a hostel has been built for students.

The education at school starts from the 7th Grade, admission is carried out on the basis of tests of the State Testing Center for Economics, Exact and Natural Sciences. Currently, 470 boys and girls study here. They are taught by more than 60 qualified teachers.

The President had a conversation with the school staff.

“We have started serious reforms in all fields. We attract the most modern technologies from abroad. To use them, you need education, the personnel with potential. The more you know, the more effectively the work we have begun will move forward, the faster the country will develop. We will pay a constant attention to education and teachers,” - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The projects to disseminate the experience of the International School of Mathematics and train IT specialists are also presented here.
