On September 14 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

The sides discussed the topical issues of further strengthening the Uzbek-Russian multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership.  The leaders have exchanged views on the regional agenda, given the current situation in Afghanistan.

The presidents also reviewed the schedule of future summit meetings.
