On September 10, chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference was held on the training of qualified personnel in the field of information technology and systematic work with a talented youth.
The digital economy has been defined as one of the foundations for the development of our country. To this end, the implementation of the «Digital Uzbekistan - 2030» Strategy has begun. As a part of it, 89 projects were implemented in the regions and more than 200 projects in industries.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of residents of the IT Park has increased by 35 %. They have created more than 6 thousand new jobs. The exports of software products in the first eight months of this year amounted to $ 26 million. In the next 3 years, it is planned to implement another 300 projects in various sectors of the economy.
To provide these projects and the IT sphere in general with highly qualified specialists in cooperation with the United Arab Emirates, the project «One Million Coders» is being implemented. To date, 567 thousand boys and girls have received free education. Remarkably, 79 % of them are the school students.
At the beginning of the event, Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Gergawi, the Minister of Cabinet Affairs in the United Arab Emirates, who participated in the videoconferencing meeting, shared his views on the significance of this project.
In the meeting, the issues of improving conditions and expanding the coverage of education in the field of information technology were discussed.
It was noted that not a single student from 2,000 schools took part in the One Million Coders project.
President has emphasized the importance of bringing the project to every school, if necessary, additional equipping schools with computers, and the wide involvement of children in the project.
«No school should stay away from the One Million Coders project», said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
It is also indicated that such courses will be organized on the basis of youth centers and mono-centers «Welcome to Job» in the areas.
Today, there are 100 schools are specialized in information technology in the country. In the next two years, it is planned to increase their number to 205 and train more than 30 thousand students.
In this regard, the responsible persons were instructed to prepare teachers for these schools, equipment and curriculums.
Another innovation - from October 1 this year, 14 IT technical schools will be opened in all regions. There, about 8 thousand boys and girls will be trained in such areas as software engineering, information security and telecommunications.
During the meeting, the issues of strengthening the material and technical base of technical schools were also discussed.
The training centers play an important role in personnel training. In particular, JSC «Aloqabank» plans to create a venture fund with an authorized capital of 80 billion Uzbek soums and an IT Knowledge Development Center. Over the next five years, 100,000 young people will professionally be trained in the center to software development, mobile applications and network administration.
In addition, there are currently 151 digital technology training centers, in which more than 27 thousand students have studied this year. The importance of expanding the activities of these centers, creating such educational institutions on the basis of public-private partnerships was pointed out.
In the meeting, the issues of improving the quality of the educational process in Presidential, specialized and creative schools were also discussed.
Today, 576 are studying in 4 Presidential schools, 1,5 thousand students in 3 specialized and 9 creative schools.
President has emphasized that in this process, great importance should be attached to national values and patriotic education. The importance of a wide introduction of students to the history, culture and art of our country, the organization of patriotic lessons with the participation of military personnel was noted.
The tasks were set to orient students of specialized schools to professions in the field of information technology, to organize courses in creative schools on web design, computer graphics, visual and digital arts, the creation of audiovisual works, translation, journalism and acting.
The need to improve the qualifications of teachers in these schools on the basis of advanced international experience and standards was emphasized.
To this end, it is scheduled to create a Center for Pedagogical Excellence and International Assessment in Tashkent and its branch in Andijan. The center will attract qualified specialists from abroad, improve the qualifications of teachers in subjects and foreign languages, and advanced international certificates.
In general, a new system will be established for the introduction of investment and innovation directions in the activities of the Presidential Schools. The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will assist in attracting training programs, literature and equipment, qualified teachers and grants from abroad. Also, the programs for the exchange of teachers and students with foreign schools will be implemented.
