On August 25, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda.
The leaders considered the topical issues on the bilateral agenda, including the development of political dialogue, the expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, the promotion of cultural and humanitarian exchange programs, as well as the continuation of productive interactions in the framework of international organizations.
The Presidents also exchanged views on the current situation in the region in the context of the evolving situation in Afghanistan.
The President of Poland expressed his sincere gratitude for all possible assistance in the implementation of humanitarian operations to evacuate citizens from Afghanistan to Poland in transit through the territory of our country.
An agreement was reached to continue a close cooperation in order to facilitate a peaceful settlement of the Afghan problem.
