On August 23 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of projects in the field of construction and improvement being implemented in Tashkent.

President has become personally familiar with many of these projects aimed at the construction of educational, health, trade and services as well as industrial facilities. Today’s presentation provides information on the progress of work.

 In particular, on October 16 last year the President got familiarized with the construction of the Academy of the State Security Service and the «Temurbeklar Maktabi» School. Today, these facilities have been completed and the existing academy buildings were reconstructed. An educational building, a platform for physical and military exercises, a stadium, a vehicle test track, a dormitory and a kitchen have been built for the school.

On January 31, 2020 the President laid the corner stone in the foundation of the University of Geological Sciences. Since then, much work has been done here: the six multi-storey structures were built and four buildings were reconstructed. The work is currently nearing completion. Along with the university, it will house the branch scientific institutes, a museum of geology, a library, a hostel and other buildings.

A new complex of constructions of the Tashkent Architectural and Construction Institute is being constructed in the Yunusabad District. The two five-storey educational buildings, an eight-storey administrative building and a four-storey dormitory are being erected. They are scheduled to be commissioned in October this year. At the second stage of the project, social facilities will be built for teachers of the institute, specialists of the research center and their families.

One of the largest projects in the sphere of education is the «New Uzbekistan» University, which organized in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from June 23, will begin the education of the first students in the forthcoming academic year. Individual buildings of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy are allocated for the University, the modern repairs have been carried out.

In the future, a modern campus will be constructed for the New Uzbekistan University. Work on the project, which was developed in accordance with international standards is in the initial phase.

During a visit to Muhammad al-Khorezmi Specialized School in 2019, the President instructed to create a branch of IT Park next to it, attract young people there and create wide conditions for enhancing the expertise.

Currently, the construction of the building is being completed, equipment-providing process is ongoing.

The numerous projects are also being implemented in the healthcare. In particular, a new building for the departments of cardiological surgery, transplantology and neuro-vascular surgery is being built in the Republican Research Center of Emergency Medicine. As a result, modern conditions will be created for these complex surgeries, and high-tech medical care will be provided to an additional 3 thousand patients per year. The construction of the new complex will be completed in September this year.

The former clinical hospital of the Ministry of Defense was built in the 40s of the last century. The President visited it in 2018 and instructed to reconstruct and provide the hospital with modern equipment, introduce modern management. On this basis, large-scale construction and repair work is underway. The central military clinical hospital will begin work in the restored building in December this year.

President was also briefed on the progress in the construction of the «Safe City» situation center, trade and service centers, industrial enterprises, roads and bridges.
