On August 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

During the conversation, the issues of further development the Uzbek-Russian relations of strategic partnership and alliance, as well as expansion of multifaceted cooperation were considered.

The Leaders exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan.

The agreement was reached to continue the close contacts and cooperation between the relevant agencies of the two countries on ensuring the regional security and stability.
