On July 28 President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Mercy House № 21 in the city of Tashkent.
This institution brings up 122 children, including 47 orphans and 75 social orphans. The children’s house employs qualified educators, psychologists, speech therapists and speech pathologists. There are clubs of robotics, mental arithmetic, hairdressing, cooking and sewing. In addition to promotion of health in sports clubs, children participate and become winners at national and international competitions.
The President got acquainted with the conditions created here and observed the activities of the children.
- The purpose of our visit today is to meet with you and improve conditions for all students, to create most possible natural educational environment. We will create opportunities for you so that you can get education on an equal basis with everyone, study at universities, acquire a profession, get housing and work, and take a rightful place in life. Remember that you have parents and Motherland. The state will always take care about you, - the President said.
The excellent conditions have been created in the Mercy House. However, individual work with children, career guidance of students are not established at the proper level. Literally every department facilitates the first steps of young adults in independent life, their higher education and employment.
In this regard, the President proposed to assign the National Guard of the Republic of Uzbekistan to all Mercy Houses and special boarding schools.
- These institutions have a financial sponsor, now they need a spiritual patron. This is a good and necessary deed, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
There are 16 Mercy Houses and four children’s towns in our country. They bring up 1,823 boys and girls. 21,363 children study at 86 special boarding schools. It has been determined that, the National Guard will be responsible for the activities of these institutions on a pilot basis. It was instructed to create a methodology for specialized education and patriotic upbringing of children. The importance of developing children’s abilities through the interaction of children’s houses and special boarding schools with scientific, artistic and sports organizations was given a special attention.
