On July 26 the President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of projects for the construction of cultural, medical, trade and service facilities.
As previously reported, it is planned to build a modern library in the Alisher Navoi National Park of Uzbekistan. The original plan was presented a month ago, and today a draft based on the recommendations of our President was reported.
Thus, the ancient monuments of our country became a source of inspiration for the architecture of the library. All the requirements related to the storage of a vast book collection, conditions for readers, cultural leisure, and various events have been taken into account.
The library project was considered in every detail during the presentation.
The President was also reported on the progress of organizing oncological and haematological centers.
As is well-known, on May 27 this year, the President adopted a decree «On further improving the system of providing haematological and oncological services to the population». In accordance with this document, a new building for the Republican Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology will be constructed.
Today, more than 5 hectares of land on the territory of the clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy have been allocated for this center. The project was developed in accordance with the best practices of foreign medical institutions, all conditions for doctors and patients are provided. Collaboration with the South Korean group Daedong Medical Consulting is underway. It brings together over 50 consulting companies and has been involved in the construction of over 600 institutions in Korea and abroad.
According to the Presidential Decree, the sphere of haematology is experiencing qualitative changes. In particular, the Department of Pediatric Haematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology will be located in a separate center and from next year will start operating independently of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Hematology. These two centers will be placed in newly built modern buildings on Arnasay Street in the Chilanzar District of Tashkent.
During the presentation, they spoke about the work done to locate these centers in new buildings. Today they are fully equipped with the necessary technical devices and furniture. Each hospital bed is provided with oxygen points. An outpatient clinic designed to receive 100 patients a day, as well as a hospital were organized. The program «Electronic Clinic» which operates via fiber-optic internet is being introduced.
It is also planned to construct buildings for bacteriological and virological laboratories, a vivarium.
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 12, 2020, the Termez International Trade Center is being created on the territory of the free economic zone «Termez». Our President got acquainted with the master plan of the center as a part of a trip to the Surkhandarya Region.
According to the project with a total cost of $75 million, the complex will have 1,800 trade outlets, a logistics center and warehouses with a capacity of almost 1 million tons of cargo, an expo center with an area of 1,6 thousand meters, as well as two hotels, a hostel, a hospital, car service points and other objects.
26 hectares of land in the Termez District have been allocated for the future center. It is planned to place shops on the first floors of the buildings, and light industry enterprises on the second.
The International Trade Center will have a special tax and customs regulations, a visa-free stay for up to 10 days, and a «one stop shop» principle.
It is estimated that the shopping center will have an annual turnover of $500 million, and an export volume of $200 million. More than 5,6 thousand jobs are expected to be created.
The plans for the effective use of state property in the city of Tashkent, the organization of trade and service points along the roads of the Namangan Region were discussed at the presentation.
