On July 24 the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev.

At the beginning of the conversation, Elbasy has heartily congratulated the President on his birthday, sincerely wishing peace, prosperity and progress to the brotherly people of Uzbekistan.

The Presidents discussed the topical issues of further development of the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and full-fledged relations. The importance of continuing the implementation of joint projects and programs in priority areas of interaction was emphasized.

An exchange of views on the regional agenda took place.
