On the sidelines of the International Conference, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
The President was pleased to note the progressive development of the Uzbek-Indian relations of strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation in accordance with the agreements reached in the course of regular contacts at the top-level.
Minister Jaishankar extended the warm greetings and wishes of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Leader of Uzbekistan.
The efforts of Uzbekistan to promote the connectivity between the Central and South Asia, as well as regional projects aimed at achieving peace in Afghanistan and economic recovery of this country, were highly appreciated.
During the meeting, the importance of promoting the bilateral projects in the fields of investment, innovation, trade, business, logistics, information technology, healthcare and other priority areas, with the active involvement of the regions of the two countries, was emphasized.
They have expressed interest in continuing a productive dialogue in the «India – Central Asia» format.
