On May 1 this year, the first seedlings were planted in the «New Uzbekistan» park and landscaping of this territory has begun. The large-scale construction and landscaping are being carried out today. More than 2 thousand workers and builders and more than 200 units of special equipment are involved.
The President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was introduced with the progress of the creative work which is being carried out here these days.
The concept of the park embodies the history of national statehood, the current aspirations of our people and the goals of the Third Renaissance. The general view of the park with an area of 104 hectares will have the form of five branches of a tree, symbolizing the directions of the Action Strategy. There is a magnificent garden with such decorative trees as chestnut, oak, maple, poplar, tulip tree, lilac, shrubs and flowers.
The «Istiklol» Complex is being built within the territory of the park. The construction will be an embodiment of the 3000 year history of our people, the great achievements of our ancestors, a reflection of the national identity and the new image of Uzbekistan. At present, the foundation has been laid and the installation of the frame of this grandiose object has begun.
The Amphitheatre will also be built on an area of more than a hectare for 5 thousand seats. The national festive celebrations, cultural and educational events will be held here in the future. The Complex will be equipped with modern lighting system and acoustics. Currently, a spectator stand is set here and the skeleton of the stage is mounted.
There will also be an artificial lake with an area of 6 hectares, sports and children playgrounds, walking zone and fountains in the park. Today, construction sites are being prepared, irrigation and drainage systems are being built.
The President also inspected the seedlings of the ornamental trees, which will be planted in the park.
The construction of the Olympic village, university, clinic, shopping and entertainment facilities are being built within the territory of the park, which is located in the same Kibray district.
